With nearly 22,000 students, University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Western Switzerland (HES-SO) is Switzerland’s largest university network. Our schools conduct research and offer degree programmes in six key fields: design and visual arts, economics and services, engineering and architecture, music and performing arts, health care and social work.
HES-SO is represented in the PEARL-DNA project by the School of Engineering and Architecture of Fribourg (HEIA-FR), through its iPrint institute and competence center.
iPrint focuses on digital printing and brings significant knowledge in the development of new printing technology and printing processes. iPrint can count on a global network of material and equipment suppliers, including the main players of the printing industry.
Practical educational trainings on digital printing complete the offer of iPrint.
In the PEARL-DNA project, iPrint will develop the new printing technology of the liquid handling platform for high-throughput block-by-block DNA.
