The Laboratory at Leibniz University Hannover (LUH), hosted at the Institute of Information Processing (TNT), opened its doors to students, researchers and interested guests for an on-site Open House at Appelstraße 9A (13th floor). The event provided a direct opportunity to meet the team, learn about ongoing research activities, and engage in informal discussion about current projects and collaboration opportunities.
The Open House took place on Monday, 17 November 2025, starting at 15:00, and concluded with pizza and networking from 17:00 onwards, creating a friendly environment for discussions and new connections across the LUH community and external visitors.
What visitors experienced
Meet the researchers: Guests were invited to connect with LUH researchers (“WiMis”) and discover the projects currently being developed at the institute.
Networking format: A structured but informal setting supported exchange with visitors, including prospective students and collaborators, as well as follow-up conversations over food and refreshments.
Open participation: Registration was encouraged via QR code selection, but the event remained open to walk-in visitors.
Relevance for PEARL-DNA
The LUH Open House aligns with PEARL-DNA’s commitment to community engagement, visibility of research infrastructures and talent outreach. By opening the lab environment to a broader audience and presenting ongoing work in an accessible format, the event supported:
awareness-raising for research activities relevant to PEARL-DNA,
dialogue with potential users, partners and early-stage researchers,
dissemination of research themes and opportunities for collaboration.
PEARL-DNA thanks the LUH team at the Institute of Information Processing (TNT) for organising the event and for the strong engagement with visitors throughout the afternoon.
